East Bay Community Foundation Awards Grants

Four city groups awarded grants Four Oakland organizations were among the recipients of grants awarded by the East Bay Community Foundation.

The Museum of Children's Art received $30,000 to expand its after-school arts programming to two Oakland schools and others in Concord.

The Bay Area Community Resources received $30,000 to expand its after-school programs to 20 Oakland schools including Peralta elementary and Claremont middle schools.

The Oakland Youth Chorus received $30,000 to expand its after-school music program to six Oakland schools.

The Destiny Arts Center received $20,000 to expand its arts and violence prevention after-school programs to 18 East Bay schools including, Peralta Elementary, North Oakland Community Charter and Westlake Middle School in Oakland.
